Spring Break

The sun has been shining the last few days which has brought a smile to my face as they are not that common in London! It looks like a cheeky sign of Spring, the flowers begin to bloom, there is that gorgeous smell of cut grass, breakfasts out and long morning walks. I figured as the weather was starting to show signs of a new season I would show you guys  one of my favourite spring trends, and that is... pastels. Casual is key with this style, this look is influenced by carefree Californian style and culture. The pastel shades are reminiscent of a West Coast sunset.

These colours are flattering on anyone and are very easy to style your own way. I personally like to have neutrals mixed with pastel colours as too much can be a little ott in my opinion. I really love how these colours reflect my positive and cheerful mood during the spring and its wonderful to inject a little colour into my wardrobe after the winter months.

I went to Westfield again on Sunday to attend a Gilly Hicks event but I think another trip is needed to fill my winter wardrobe with some of these beaut pastel shades.

I will upload an ootd soon with some of my new Spring pieces,
What are your fave spring trends?

Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose
£37

I got this for Christmas last year and I have fallen in love with it. I am a huge fan of perfume as I just enjoy trying out different scents and I love to smell nice throughout the day. I tried this when I was in Fenwicks in Windsor Town. I sprayed it a few times and ever since I have kept popping back to spray some more!

This was one thing I really wanted for Christmas as I fell in love with the smell instantly! I also liked how the smell lingered for a long time, as this is always something I look for in a good perfume.

The small is fruity, with a deep scent of roses and raspberry, its beautiful! The bottle is also lovely, sometimes this is what draws me in most with perfumes. I love love love this, I just hope it doesn't run out too quickly... If it does, I shall be purchasing another no doubt!

Mac Melba blush, Creme Cup Lipstick

MAC LIPSTICK IN CREME CUP. (£13.50)
MAC BLUSH IN MELBA(£17.50)

My friend just came back from Canada with a few pieces are asked her to buy in Mac. I have read some fantastic reviews about both products so was very excited to try them myself. What can I say, they are fabulous! The Lipstick is a cremesheen formula so it is moisturising on the lips and has a glossy, creamy finish. I use this pretty much everyday now!

As for the blush, this is also brilliant. After seeing all the beauty bloggers had this i couldn't wait to get my hands on one myself! It is a shade of coral/pink which looks like a beautiful flush of colour on the cheeks.

I will hopefully take a few pics of me wearing these soon.

Whats your fave Mac blush and lipstick?

Topshop Pintuck Panel Blouse
Black Original Vans
Moroccan Oil
NARS Laguna Bronzer
Real Tecniques Stippling Brush
Topshop Cross Body Bag

These are a few of my wants as of late. Walking around Westfield last week I spotted all these beauty's but didn't end up purchasing as my purse was lacking money as per usual. Im currently looking for a pastel blouse that will look great in the spring. When i came across this one in Topshop it was exactly what I was looking for and I hope to get this very soon, it will be perfect for creating my spring wardrobe.
Im a big fan of Vans as I think they look good with any casual outfit, I already own some blue ones but im sure another pair wont harm! These black ones have a boy-ish edge to them which I like, oh yes and they are comfy which is a definite plus point.
Okay so I am one of those girls whose likes to heat process their every morning so my hair is rather dry and the split ends are a serious problem. I have heard some brilliant reviews about this Moroccan Oil and I cant wait to try it, I've had enough of dealing with my frazzled hair so im hoping this could do the trick.
After reading some fantastic reviews about this NARS Laguna Bronzer its hard to steer clear of it. I really want to give this a try as the colour looks lovely and I just want a subtle bronze glow like those Victoria Secret models- envy right there!
As with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush what can I say, an internet sensation! These brushes made by Sarah Chapman have been a huge success and are now being retailed in Boots Stores! I cannot wait to get my hands on the stippling brush, evidently it gives you an airbrushed effect, rather excited about this I must say.
Finally, Im loving the look of this bag from Topshop. The coral colour is what I love the most as this is my favourite colour and I think it will look perfect with any outfit in the spring/summer. I am in great need of a small shoulder bag that I can hold just my essentials, this is something I will be purchasing soon!

So, what are you lusting over at the moment?

Everyday Essentials

  • Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation- This has to be my favourite foundation at the moment. I love the dewy finish it leaves on the skin. I prefer dewy, less matte foundations that have a more natural skin finish, this is perfect for me.
  • MAC studio fix foundation/powder- Ever since my friend brought me this back from the US I have loved using it. Its the perfect product to lightly dust all over the face after a thin coat of foundation has been applied. I use this everyday as its perfect for adding a slightly more matte finish to my everyday look.
  • NO7 Midnight Enhancement blusher- this is a gorgeous palette of pinks which when swirled together provide a light smooth coverage with a subtle hint of shimmer to contour the face. I really enjoy using this as it adds a hint of shimmery pink to my cheeks.
  • Revlon colourburst lip gloss- I saw this in boots and the colour stood out to me as it is a pinky  lilac colour and I don't really have any lip product this colour.  I really love the smooth texture of this lip gloss and I think it is a perfect lip product to be worn during the day.
  • MAC Creamsheen lipglass (Just superb)- Okay, I absolutely love love love this lip gloss, its amazing!  The texture of this its so creamy and stays on your lips all day! This to me is the best lip gloss I have ever tried... I think I may have to make another trip to MAC to purchase a second!
  • Nivea essential care lip-balm- I am a sufferer of dry lips unfortunately and yes its a pain but I apply this lip balm every night and wake up with beautifully smooth lips. I have tried several other lip-balms but none have been as good as this. Defiantly an everyday essential for me.
  • Bourjois ultra curl mascara- I like my eyelashes to have lots of volume, length and have a natural appearance. This gives me a lovely curl whilst adding definition and volume, and NO clumps! I am very surprised sometimes when I see other girls in my sixth form with their 'spider lashes' (beautiful look by the way)
  • Collection 2000 fast stroke liquid eyeliner- This is simply a great eyeliner with fantastic pigmentation! Its very easy to apply as the tip is thin and allows for easy movement along the eyelid, really love this!
  • Lancome Hypnose Mascara- this is a mini version that I received in a Christmas gift set and I have fallen in love with it! It adds dramatic length to my lashes with only one coat, im looking to buy the normal size in this as I love it so much.
  • Topshop Kohl liner (Saddle)- I have been looking for a brown eyeliner for a long time as i find black a little harsh. When I found this sitting on the shelf in Tophshop it was a straight away 'grab and buy'. The colour is lovely and looks fantastic with green eyes, I use this for a little more definition to the eye.
  • Soap and Glory Supercat felt tip liner- I brought this a week ago from my local boots store and really like it! I wanted something easy to apply with the look of a normal liquid liner. I heard lots of positive reviews with the new Soap and Glory cosmetic range so I was excited to try this and it defiantly lived up to its expectations.
What are your everyday essentials, hope you all have a lovely weekend!
